Courage World Chairs Ltd was founded on September 10, 2022, with a clear purpose: to provide quality auditorium furniture made in Nigeria, reduce dependence on imported seating, create local employment, and contribute to the development of the country.
The company was founded by Olasoji Sosanya, who brought five years of prior experience in the auditorium seating manufacturing industry before establishing Courage World Chairs. From the beginning, the company focused specifically on the production of church and auditorium chairs, rather than starting as a general furniture business.
Born to Build in Nigeria
When Courage World Chairs began, imported chairs dominated the market while local manufacturing capacity remained limited. The opportunity was clear: Nigeria needed manufacturers capable of producing quality auditorium seating locally and reliably.
Courage World Chairs was established to answer that need.
Our ambition was never simply to sell chairs. It was to build a Nigerian manufacturing company capable of producing seating that organisations could confidently choose instead of imported alternatives.
The early years came with significant challenges, particularly inadequate power infrastructure and the difficulty of developing the human capital required for a growing manufacturing operation. These challenges tested the company’s resilience and forced us to continuously improve the way we operated.
From Vision to Manufacturing Capability
One of the most important turning points in our journey was moving into our own production factory. Having a dedicated manufacturing facility gave us greater control over production, quality, capacity and the development of our products.
We continued investing in our manufacturing capabilities, including the acquisition of semi-automatic pipe-bending equipment and improved power infrastructure. These investments have enabled us to strengthen our production processes and respond more effectively to the requirements of our customers.
Another important milestone has been gaining access to funding from leading financial institutions. For us, this represents more than access to capital. It is a recognition of the growing credibility and potential of a Nigerian manufacturing business.
Earning the Trust of Institutions
A defining moment in our journey came through the patronage of Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel, Ota, Ogun State.
The opportunity to serve a major institution of this calibre strengthened our confidence in what we were building and demonstrated that locally manufactured auditorium furniture could earn the trust of established organisations.
Since then, our focus has remained consistent: understand what our customers need, manufacture to specified quality standards, deliver reliably, and build relationships that last beyond a single order.
